Evocative of the crystalline feather-frost on a cold window and soft mounds of newly fallen snow, the First Frost Gown is the newest original design by Bekah Tuggy and now available for a custom fit for you.
The First Frost is comfortable and strong without a constricting inner structure. Layers of sheer, matte white organza are interlined for a lightweight, no-see-through beauty. Handcut, feathery frost-shards in matte crinkle organza embellish the right side of the bodice and hip from front to back, creating a unique asymmetrical focal point with beautifully textured raw edges. The simple A-line skirt closely skims the waist and hips and widens slightly to the floor, while the top two layers are cut away over the toes in a sweeping curve to unveil clouds of the softest crinkled tulle. (This stuff is seriously touchable…I would sleep in piles of it if I could!) All layers are anchored at the waist with a simple, clean one-inch-wide waistband that binds the embellished frost-feathers like a sheaf of wheat.
Bodice is fitted with unusual doubled pairs of vertical darts. Modified vee/boatneck is at a classic depth, perfect for the retro starlet and the modest bride. A surprisingly deep, adjustable vee corset back reveals just the merest hint of skin (modesty panel available upon request) while a left-side zipper allows for simply easy dressing. Mathematically precise construction and reinforced seams mean you can dance the night away with no worries!
Gown is fully lined. Because of the nature of the multiple sheer layers, this design does not come with the side-seam pockets common to my gowns. Please note that the vintage rhinestone belt shown in these photos is NOT included with the gown.
This listing is for a high-quality polyester or silk chiffon gown (please check options.) Gown also available in ivory, perfect for a summer/fall harvest feel.
